Everyday Moments | Introduction

“In an increasingly digital world we’re communicating more with images and less with words. Images are superseding words as our primary form of communication. On Instagram alone, 20 billion photos have been uploaded since 2010. Many of us employ visual language, often without realizing it. Being fluent in the language of images gives us an advantage at school, at work, and at homehttp://www.vislit.org/why-visual-language/

We have been set the task of researching visual communication within everyday moments and day to day life. It is our job to take inspiration from these moments and from the environment we surround ourselves in and apply different textiles and artistic processes to create a range of samples and a final outcome once we have found our narrative and our interpretation of our world.

I am looking forward to exploring the city I now call home and learning some new techniques as well as developing further, some skills I have worked on previously.
